Client Profile:

• A $4 billion retailer with over 30,000 employees and over 600 stores.
• Recent major merchandizing system initiative
• Information Technology department of over 500 employees
• Highly diverse technology environment

Challenge:

Client had planned for the implementation, but was unable to find sufficient contract staff skilled in the key technologies used. Project timelines were jeopardized and as a result, company earnings and stock price were threatened. The client requested that Maxonic immediately provide nineteen consultants and plan to phase in other consultants with varying skills.

Maxonic Solution:

After the initial survey, Maxonic proposed a comprehensive solution.

• First , Maxonic set up a dedicated team, consisting of recruiters and technical staff that qualified, screened and in-person interviewed each candidate.
• Next, to provide staff for difficult to fill Retek positions, Maxonic engaged our Proactive Recruiting Team to create a pipeline of candidates who were available at times when the project plan required it.
• Finally, Maxonic began creating a pipeline of other skilled programmers, but with the express purpose to reducing costs while improving candidate quality.

The result was immediate. Using Maxonic consultants, the client was able to fill all 19 positions with in three weeks. Using our proactive services, Maxonic has been able to find hard to find Retek consultants. The staff that Maxonic placed costs the client approximately 30% less than comparable consultants provided by other firms.
